Ashe County Department of Social Services

The mission of the Ashe County Department of Social Services is to assist families and individuals by helping them maintain, and/or enhance their quality of life; to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable people in the community. Services include support with applying for Medicaid or NC Health Choice for Children, Information about Medicaid Transportation, Investigating Child Abuse, Family Support Services including support with employment, childcare, utilities and housing and Food and Nutrition Services.
